I struggled with a few challenges when composing my audio biography. I decided what stories to tell by thinking of what events I really mad me who I am today no matter how difficult some may have been to tell. Sharing my story was different; I shared things that I am not used to talking about, like my mothers cancer. I struggles knowing what to say about my moms illness because its not my story to tell, its hers, but I decided to talk about how it changed me and what my life was like during this time.
When I first recorded my audio bio I decided to record an advanced version of my I am from poem. After this and hearing the other audio bio’s I thought that it might be better if I told more detail and stories in my bio. I wish that I could have thought of one event or story to tell in great detail I think it could have flowed more although it may not have gotten across as much information as the audio bio I posted did.
As for my completed audio bio i am happy with how it turned out although I failed at explaining too much detail of my life. I like that I used I am from and "I" statements in general I think they display a better narrative than just telling a story from my life. I liked the sound effect that I used for my bio I think they fit well with the details mentioned. I learned that is important to dig deep and open up about certain things that maybe haven't been spoken about much and id like to bring that forward into the refugee project.
