The Project

Multimodal Writing 321 is designed to teach students the multimodal tools such as text, image, sound and video to effectively communicate with different public audiences. We learned these skills through readings, guest speakers, research, groupthink, informative videos and trial and error.

The purpose of the final project was to tell our community partner's story accurately and respectively through a multimodal platform. The community partner we were lucky enough to work with was Clement Shabani from The Democratic Republic of Congo. Clement was brave enough to share his experience with us. As you can see in the final video Clement and his family endured a lot of hurt in The Democratic Republic of Congo; but they are here to help advocate for woman and children refugees who need their help.

In the following text I will be explaining the process we went through in producing this video and how we used the knowledge we learned in class to compose the final product. I feel that our class learned a lot from this entire process and I would like to share with you what I have learned.
